The town of Pomfret, Vermont (population 916) was getting swarmed so badly that it recently voted to close some roads to non-residents through mid-October, saying, "Foliage season traffic in this area has steadily increased during the last several years, causing significant safety, environmental, aesthetic, and quality of life issues.”
