Most of the time when I write about outdoor plans, I’m focusing on making sure people know that sometimes it’s OK to NOT go through with your targeted peak or backcountry adventure, especially if it means you might be putting yourself in danger. Knowing the difference between Type 2 Fun and genuinely unsafe conditions is something that really only comes with time and experience in the outdoors, but this week I’m going to write a bit about the inverse: knowing when to charge ahead with plans, regardless.
