The Island of Misfit Stories #3
The Secret Weapon to Defeat A.I., the young people suing a state to stop polluting, the truth about bees, and other fun stories
Here we are again, at the end of another month. I am thrilled—thrilled—to be sitting on my porch as I write this. The sun is out, people are walking by and saying hello (we writers love a good distraction from writing), and my vine maples look like they’ll be leafing out in the next few days. Oh also, there’s a big, showy rhododendron in my front yard that’s become a bit of a neighborhood celebrity, so that’s always fun.
As this month winds to close, I’ve prepared another round-up of some of my favorite stories from the past few weeks that just didn’t quite feel right for the proper newsletter. We’ve got all kinds of fun stuff in here, including:
How poetry can beat artificial intelligence
The lifelong, documented history of a magnolia tree
How urban beehives might not have been the best idea
The young people suing a state for a clean environment
and more! You have to end lists with “and more!”
